She is the witch infamous for scarry, witch of the Waste.She turned to be aged like a granma by the witch's curse.She's got to be leaving her house as she turned grandma and couldn't tell anyone about it.At the same time, the prince of the neighboring county was missingIt caused that the current situation of the nation inevitable from a war against the neighboring kingdom.She left and didn't have anywhere else to go.She met a moving scare crow in the waste and he helped her find where to live.It was the moving castle. there seemed nobody inside when she's coming in.There's a fire and it made her cozy and Sophy had a nice rest sitting on a chair in front of the fire.Someone started talking to her while she's resting. It was the fire.The fire was a creature who is moving the castle.He talked to Sophy that he's been thinking that he would need some help to break up the spell.Because of the spell, he had to work for Howl.The fire told her that if Sophy could break up the spell on him, he will break up the spell on her.The fire had been looking for somebody to let him free, that's why he let her in even though he has magic power to lock the door to prevent her from coming in.In the next morning, someone knocked the door and a boy came down from the stair.Markel suspected if she was a witch.After a while, Howl came back home when Sophy are cocking breakfasts.And Sophy found out that a nice guy that she met on the way to her sister was Howl.Howl found that Sophy has something like note from the witch of the waste.The note brought a curse from her and it helps her find where Howl is.Howl's been always chased by the witch of the waste and fled from her. The fire has helped him flee with his magic.Sophy began to work as a jenniter at Howl's house.Around the time the leader of their country has required every witch and wizzard to report as the leader needed their help after the war began.The moving castle let Sophy feel pieceful by taking her somewhere which has a nice view.On the other hand, Howl got feeling sad by the terrible war.He's been interrupting the both of the attacks in the war.One day Howl asked Sophy to report to the King instead of him.And She left for the palace. While she's walking the witch of the waste passed by Sophy.Both of them eventually went to inside of the palace together.Sophy was guided the way to the leader by a boy and met the leader without the witch of the waste.After a while The witch of the waste was brought in by a boy.Soon Howl appeared to help Sophy escape from the leader.They escaped from the leader with the witch of the waste and the leader's errands dog.A part of the castle was corrupsed as the plane that Sophy operated landed inside.After Howl's back, it was fixed and he made inside bigger and nicer for Sophy, Markel and new comers.This time Howl was chased by the leader.Howl led Sophy to his hideway, Beautiful place.After a while, Sophy's mother suddenly visited and reported her that she got re-married and suggested that she lived in her mother's house.The war got worse and finally the planes began to drop the bomb in their town.Howl tried to stop the attack. While Sophy tried to stop him.Sophy broke the castle and gave something for the fire to go to Howl by the fire's power.The fire's power to take them to Howl was interrupted by the witch of the waste.Sophy has fallen into the past world with just the dog.After back from the world She found Howl who was waiting for her.They flew to place where the others were and Howl passed out just after they arrived.Sophy asked the witch of the waste to give up something to help Howl and the fire.The fire's spell was broken.THe moving scare crow turned out that he was princess of the neighboring contry.He promised to quit this war and left.The war was gone and they seems to be hahppy.The color of this animation is beautiful.The original voice actor of Howl is a celebrety, Takuya Kimura who has higher tone voice than the American'sHe is a childish wizzard, but if he had deep voice, you could feel he's more matture.The original voice actress of Sophy is an actress,mitsuko by-show known as Sakura who is an elder sister of Tora san in the films, Tora san. Sophy should have acted by two women like English version. Sophy's English voice actresses had much better performances.I like Markel. He's so cute.
