Needs to be in water to run! No leaks
No where in the instructions does it say that the two small metal contacts on the bottom of the head need to be in contact with water, to allow the motors to run. I almost returned it, until I saw it explained online. Powerful and maneuverable. I've had no leaks. I even pinned it beneath my hot tub cover overnight, with not a drop inside. Fun

worked for 5 minutes, Followed all instructions to the letter. it was not water logged, it just stopped.

What a hit!
My nephew absolutely loves this! He saw it on a video and it was on his wish list! It is super light weight! Hope it lasts because his face just lit up! Pure joy!

Junk Gator
I was dumb enough to buy this product twice. I returned the first purchase b/c the Gator Head was literally dead in the water. It was a dud and didn't work at all. The second time I purchased this, I thought that maybe the first purchase was a flook and this one would work for sure. Unfortunately, I waited weeks until my trip to the Lake to try it out. Again, it didn't work. Not even for a few seconds. What a waste of money and time. Never buy this toy from this company.

Defective
When I gave this to my son for his birthday he was thrilled. Had work done on his pool and last night tried the alligator and the remote was bad. Said the battery got really hot and he could not use it.

Number of stars = number of times it actually worked
Well, this remote control alligator head had one job: to scare my neighbors and make me laugh. It managed to do that for a grand total of 10 minutes. After its short-lived glory, it decided to retire overnight. I tried to revive it with new batteries, but it seems my gator's heart just wasn’t in it anymore. Now, it’s just a sad, plastic reminder of what could have been. If you're looking for a toy with the lifespan of a mayfly, this is perfect. Otherwise, steer clear. RIP Gator Head, gone too soon.

Good for gag gift but not longevity
We used this once and it was a hit, but it never worked after that. Husband didn't love that it sits high up in the water. Said it didn't look very realistic. For the price, it was fun but I wish it lasted longer.
