Anglepoise lamp on my desk for many years (overshadowing everything and getting in the way of the screen!) - I finally got around to ordering this Trond desk lamp ... what a little beauty it is - love the soft black finish - I could almost sit here and stroke it under moments of stress! Its big enough to overarch my laptop, but not so big it dominates (like the Anglepoise did!) the three types of light, warm, medium and cool are useful for different times of the day or night. The simple touch and swipe switch is a joy to use. The light is even - no flicker, not glary, very easy on the eyes and most important to me, it doesn;t interfere with any images on my laptop - I can edit my photos without having to turn it away (you guessed it like the Anglepoise!) Its a thing of beauty that also works - can't say fairer than that!! I like the fact that it isn't portable or battery powered.It gives off excellent light whilst not being over powering. Being able to dim the light is a huge benefit. And the design of contols is superb.I now feel very comfortable crafting into the night, being able to see what ever project I'm working on, under the same conditions at night time is brilliant.I had to resist ordering another one for the left handside of my desk, realistically it's not needed. Brought one for myself & one as a present. I love being able to dim it down I just use it on the first setting for getting in and out of bed and for reading turn it up. It was great when I wanted to do some close up work the other day moved it onto the work top and I could see what I was doing. It's super adjustable in the stem. It feels stable too.
