In the 1930s the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO), overseers of the Le Mans racing course known as the Circuit de la Sarthe, installed concrete signs for drivers along the course in 1/2 kilometer increments. The Poteau Michelin signs were taken down years ago so that drivers wouldn't run into them. Few of them survive. In fact, one of two known to exist was recently auctioned carrying an estimated price of $50,000 - $70,000! Our faithful reproduction of the actual sign at the start of the road course is printed using archival inks on matte finished acid free stock, measures 13" X 19" and is encased in an acrylic-faced 1/2" thick matte black plastic frame. It's just the thing for a racing fan's office or man cave! Plus, like all of our gear, it's made by hand by father and son gear heads Jeff and Casey Maciejewski.
