Firstly, when it arrives it comes rolled up and vacuum packed. It does have a bit of a smell upon opening, but this goes away after being aired out for a couple of hours. It's very easy to set up and takes a few hours to fully expand. The support offered isn't brilliant as it's not a very firm mattress and the springs can be felt when laying on it. However, I purchased these for my children so the firmness is perfect for them. I would say it's ideal for kids or a spare bed but definitely not good enough for an adult to use on a regular basis.
