After reading reviews regarding the Tomato knife being too small, I chose this one and so pleased as it is perfect. Highly recommend.

Probably..the best knives in the world! Excellent for sushi making and thai vegetable cutting. Never underestimate the usefulness of a good quality made knife. It makes cooking in the kitchen so much easier. This knife effortlessly glides through vegetables you barely need to apply much pressure.When you sharpen this knife, don't use a normal knife sharpener - you have to use a special global wet stone, or a automatic sharpener that's specific to global knives. This is because global sharpen their knives at 10-15 degree angles unlike other knives around 22 degrees. If you use other sharpeners then you won't get the same cutting experience as i found out the first time. Well worth the investment, I just wish they were cheaper!

I already had a collection of 10 global knives all of which are lovely to work with, extremely sharp and very well balanced so comfortable to use. This scallop knife is the best of a very good lot, it cuts very precisely and can even manage to cut through extremely ripe tomatoes to create perfect thin slices instead of squashed slices as would be the normal result. Only one word of warning - keep your fingers out of the way!
