I am an older woman and it was very easy to put together, directions were easy to follow. It's shelves are sturdy, I wish they were a little bigger but overall I love the look and functionality of both stands and how I can move them around the room to my liking and to where the light is with my front windows. It's sturdy and nice looking however there is not enough room between shelves for tall plants. This is better for viney plants or plants that grow wide not tall. The top shelf is real small and the bottom is a waste.
