I tried looking for a down coat but nothing would have gotten to us in time. Turns out this coat was perfect! Super lightweight and fit my 19mo perfectly. He's on the taller and thinner side. The coat kept him super warm even in below freezing temps while we hiked in the snow. I liked the longer length too because it kept his legs warmer when he was walking. The hood fit nice and snug around his face and the collar zipper right up to his chin so no wind crept in. I kept checking to make sure he was staying warm while he was in the stroller and he always was. He was able to be as mobile as ever in the coat so he never felt restricted in it.
