Review: Lovely colour - sage - Used this for doing a tv cabinet in the picture- also done the inside of the cupboards. Was a dark wood stain originally, sanded the top to bare wood with a small black and deckker mouse sander bought in the prime day sale for 11 pounds. Then lightly sanded the rest of the piece, such as doors etc but not to bare wood, just to remove any little bits stuck to it over the years and make a nice surface to paint over - note most of the deep, dark wood stain was still present. So one coat using a chalk paint brush, which is a round tip, natural hair brush - again, from desertcart - quite a big size but it gets into grooves and corners well so that's the only brush you need - note just, wet it once before you use it. So one even coat and the old wood stain was covered and this lovely sage was now there and half a tin still left over for future projects! Handles from TK maxx. Then a light bees wax over the whole thing, once thr chalknpaint had tried properly ( couple of hours). The wax acts as a barrier and makes it wipe able to an extent. All in I think this project cost me £35 for the paint, brush, sander, wax and handles. Just used an old candle to wax the wooden runners on the drawers. Doesn't look too bad for my first upcycling project. Very good quality paint - worth the money and comes in the best colours. Very happy, would recommend and will try other colours. Wouldn't use any other brand now after this.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this safe for a cot?**
A: We would not recommend it. Its quite a soft paint and it needs a wax or lacquer to protect it. A better choice would be the Rust-oleum Matt Furniture Paint. This does not need protective layer as it has a tough finish. Comes in the same 110 colours and it is also Certified Toy Safe to EN71-3: 2019.

**Q: Can this be used to paint onto kitchen ceramic wall tiles**
A: Yes you can but if near water etc I guess you may need to seal it afterwards.

**Q: Can you mix this paint?  I like the sage green, but might want it a bit lighter, depending on how it looks once it's painted on. Thanks.**
A: I wanted a mid grey but they only had a light grey and a dark grey so I mixed the dark grey and cream to get the colour I wanted. FYI after it's waxed or varnished it dries slightly darker.

**Q: Is this suitable for walls or do you sell this colour in wall paint please**
A: This particular paint wouldn't be suitable for applying to walls as this requires a protective top coat to be applied, either the Finishing Wax or Lacquer.  We do manufacture the Chalky Finish Wall paint which is available in 110 colours and would be better suited for your project.
