The indicator light burned out in the first couple of weeks, otherwise I'd rate it a 5. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Still works, but a little slower now. *by A***E on April 21, 2025* Purchased this many years ago, and have been using it constantly since! While it was very fast in boiling water in the past, it seems to take a lot of 'breaks' lately. I had to open it one time as the auto-turn off function was not working as well, but the switch just needed a little bit of tightening. I do appreciate the portability, as well as the function of being able to switch from 120 to 240v as needed. It still does work after all this time, but having to wait for the water to boil when it constantly turns off to cool down (I am assuming) can be a little bit annoying sometimes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Light in weight, boils water in a timely manner *by A***H on May 15, 2018* Eight oz. of water (the smallest suggested amount) reaches the boiling point in less than 2 minutes. When I first filled the kettle to the “MAX” level and turned it on, I thought it wasn’t working properly because it turned off before the water even began to boil. If you just leave it alone, however, it will start a new heating cycle in a few seconds. It took about 5 minutes to boil 0.5 liters of water and went through about 4 cycles of shutting off and turning back on before reaching a rolling boil.Of the electric travel kettles I considered ordering, this is the lightest in weight. I also like that it’s made of stainless steel. So far, I haven’t had an opportunity to try it out in a country where the voltage is 240. I plan to use this kettle to make coffee by the pour-over method when I visit countries where it’s very difficult to find coffee that’s to my liking. It will come in handy for certain domestic travel situations also.Not only will this kettle add very little to the total weight of one’s luggage, it won’t take up much volume either since some items can be packed inside of it.
