The first time you put on these gloves, you can feel how tough and durable they are. These gloves are made of genuine cowhide leather and the leather is at lease 1.2 millimeters thick. This is thick enough to protect your hands from abrasions, scratches and punctures. While the leather is strong and durable, it's the stitching that holds it together. Double stitching is a must for all heavy-duty gloves, so at a minimum, make sure you have double stitching in high-stress areas such as the palm, fingertips and thumb. Really good! Mine look good, are soft and supple but protect well, very flexible with good grip from the leather. Not sure how long they will last but they feel quite durable for average use. If they were lined they’d make quite a nice pair of cold weather gloves. I like them.

These gloves are made from a soft leather, so no breaking in required. They're very comfortable to wear and withstand most, but not all, thorns. Overall, I'd say these are good quality gardening gloves and good value for money too.
