The man’s role in and how he should treat his wife or even female family members is almost *non-existent* in this book. There is nothing highlighting the treatment, care, respect, or approach that men should use with their wives. Almost all the conversations are directed towards how a woman should treat her husband in multiple scenarios. Also, the translations were very outdated. The book follows the Hanafi school. I felt like I was reading a cultural book rather than a book based on Islamic teachings and wisdom. It was extremely disappointing. It solidifies the foundationnal understanding quite well and is contrasting with the modernist, liberal gynocentric western paradigm.
