Propane alone does NOT burn hot enough to melt steel nor iron, that would require a mixing valve and adding oxygen. Also note that this forge would NOT withstand those temperatures. *I'm a 20+ year certified LPG tech.... **Q: Can you melt glass for glass blowing?** A: Thank you for your question. Normally the glass is coming to be soft from 1110F, plus using melting fux, YES it can melt glass. Also we'd like to remind you that the soft glass will make a sticky mess, so best to have one more Crucibles if want to melt metal. Have FUN :) **Q: Can this unit be attached to the natural gas from my house ?** A: I think the natural gas is low-pressure gas from your house, which is low powerful. The melting furnace needs high-pressure gas, we recommend you to use high-pressure gas tank(QCC1 fittings). **Q: Roughly how many uses can i get out of a tank melting copper? Is gas abetter option than electric in this case ?** A: Gas furnace heating much faster than electric, Particularly for heavy copper. It has helped in all of my applications from melting metals Gold, Silver, aluminum to ingots, takes a good 5-10 minutes to melt depending on how much is placed to melt but it has always done the job. Not sure what some reviews are talking about when they say it won’t get hot enough or it doesn’t work, they are obviously fibbing. The review that states it came with one of the holes broken to pieces you can clearly see old burn marks and old natural wear and tear. Like really? Insult Me but not my intelligence. Great product I will DEFINITELY recommend and DEFINITELY buy again from this company. Apologies on the late review but I’m about to use it again for like the 40th time literally. And the product is so good it deserves even my late review. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY. Thank you for making this product. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Thin ,no tube to attach torch basically a paint can with some ceramic fiber *by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2023* The media could not be loaded.  I purchased its items so I could melt silver and copper for my jewelry class and this thing is basically a paint can with some I'm assuming ceramic or fiberglass it's flimsy it's like aluminum it seems like anyway cheaply made the ingots are cool I mean The crucible seem pretty cool but they're small enough for one ingot maybe yeah other than the quality of the material that it's made out of and the fact that it doesn't have a tube to attach the torch not to mention it just goes straight in so initially your flame is not hitting The crucible at all it's just going straight out the other side the breathing hole cheap cheap ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Cutest tiny kiln you’ve ever seen. *by J***M on Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2024* This is the small version. The crucible’s are good for melting shot or very small bars. A one ounce silver round won’t fit into the largest one. I was planning to buy a much larger gas kiln also but this was a little smaller than the pictures suggested. I will be pouring 2.5 and 3 oz molds so hopefully this will work to get started.
