It came in a lovely tin. The cake/loaf itself isn't as big as you'd hope from the tin, but presumably it's a kilo (I didn't weigh it), so fair enough.The problem this time was that the bottom inch or two hadn't mixed/risen properly, and was hard as a rock. It wasn't edible at all - you couldn't even cut through it. It was a real shame, because the top half of the loaf was delicious; light and fluffy in texture. It was a disappointment, though, to serve it up on Christmas afternoon to the whole family, and for there to be a big hard wedge at the bottom and everyone to get only half a slice.I was going to give it 3 stars, as what was edible was tasty, but I received two emails from the company afterwards, asking for feedback and saying 'please tell us if there's any problem, rather than leaving a negative review'. Great, I thought - they care about their customer feedback, so I took the time to write to them and explain that there had been a problem this time. No reply... nada. Why ask for feedback if you're going to ignore it? Just to try to stop people leaving honest reviews?
