There's no volume adjust on it either and the only way that you can control the volume is with your speech while you are recording your message so if you don't want it very loud you need to bring the voice down to it more of a whisper and if you wanted to be louder than obviously you have to put more voice into it She is the neediest bird on the planet, spoiled rotten had to be petted yes petted constantly. She has not asked once for attention loving or hugging since I gave this to her, (now I'm the one begging her to let me hold her LOL ) She loves and adores the fact that she can hear me in her cage anytime she wants with just a flick of the beak or a touch I like to believe that it keeps her company and calm while she is alone. It is a nice size stainless steel and it functions as it should. It would be nice if you could record more but obviously in this case she is content with just a little bit of talking from me.
