I VERY much like how these look on my ride.... that said, after installing them I found (and cannot find this on their web site either) -these will not protect the engine in a crash.  I would have considered this more, but suspect I still would have purchased and believe they will do well enough.I presume a standing still drop would be protected. Besides, these are replacing another (different) engine guard that was bent in a crash...  these can't be any worse, right? I mean if I can walk away - what the heckl!  Ride Safe!!

Really easy to install.. Helps to have someone sit on the bike and hold it level to level the bars.. That is if you don't have it on a stand.. Look great though
