LEGO Creator Holiday Bakery 10216

This is my second Winter Village set. I previously bought the Toy Shop. In my opinion, the Holiday Bakery isn't as good as the Toy Shop but the Toy Shop is now discontinued.LEGO does a great job creating a fun winter, holiday environment with this set. There's a lot of detail in the set that bring that vibe like the snow, holiday lights and the skate rink. LEGO tries to add humor by depicting one of the minifigures as stuck head-first in the snow.This set is intended more for adults and older children. Younger children who are pretty passionate and patient with building will also appreciate this set. The building process isn't as simple as with other sets like LEGO City or Ninjago. A lot more detail is pushed into the design which sometimes mean a little more difficult or tedium.Well worth the MSRP and a great addition if you collect the Winter Village sets. Makes a nice display for the holiday season.

I got this set for me and the kids to put together before Christmas. My 6 and 8 year old were able to do most of this with my supervision. The finished product is beautiful, and it was very fun and rewarding to put it together.My only gripe, and this is minor, is that the coloring of the instruction book can be misleading. This set contains light grey, dark grey, and black pieces. The way the instruction book is colored, it's often very difficult to tell which color (of the three aforementioned colors) are being asked for. This caused us to have to go back and replace a few pieces with the correct color. Keep this in mind when building...be careful discerning between the grey colors and blacks.All in all, this is a great Lego product.

Good. No Problems

Our grandson is 12 and he has received LEGOs for every birthday and every Christmas for about 8 years. Our granddaughter has a July birthday and just turned 11. She couldn't think of anything she wanted for her birthday. It's not that they have everything, she just has enough. Her mom told me that she mentioned LEGOs last year at Christmas and had a LEGO Holiday Bakery on her list. Naturally, it's out of season but I found it on Amazon! We were going on vacation with them to the lake and I was not sure it would arrive in time, and was very happy it did! The children shake their gifts and they always know when it's LEGOs...so they think! I took the pieces out of the box and secured the bags of pieces so they wouldn't rattle. It was a gloomy day on her birthday, but not after she opened it! It was a delightful surprise. The bakery set was rated for 12 and up but she had no difficulty. She was thrilled with every tiny piece as she put the items in the bakery window and loved the string of Christmas lights. She was gracious enough to allow her brother to put together the boy with his head in the snowbank. I love LEGOs because they allow and encourage the children to use their imaginations. The stories they made up as they played with the family, imagining the snow and winter fun was priceless. It's nice to see girls have fun with LEGOS. It was a hit!

Fun fun fun set! What could be more heart-warming than the thought of warm delicious baked goods on a snowy wintery day? These Lego people in their winter village are living large! Fun pieces and great feature of the light brick. The ice rink is hilarious and the horse drawn carriage is well engineered. Collecting these sets and building them around the holidays will be an annual tradition in my home!

I bought this for our 10-year-old granddaughter and have ordered another Lego set from Amazon since she put the bakery together. It was easy for her, so I'm trying one for 14 year olds for the next. Her younger siblings love playing with it. Of course, every piece was there, and it's a pretty addition to the season! The light block is an attractive addition.

The colors are great. The mini figures and their accessories(especially the eskimo hat) are nice to have.The bright bricks and the bakery theme makes this set also are a perfect gift for the girls.Elegant details.In the skating ground, the red pair of skating shoes did not make much sense to me...The small Christmas trees are not as good as I would have expected. It would be nicer if they have enough handles to put some small bricks on.

The Lego box was in bad shape.

Die Weihnachtsbäckerei ist leicht aufzubauen und sieht hübsch aus. Leider sind die einzelnen Figuren etwas wackelig. . . . .

This is a fun set to build and to play with which is equally suitable for boys and girls. It will make a nice addition to many existing Lego sets whether it is Lego City or Lego Castle collection. It can also stand on its own, especially now when it is the Christmas season. Of course, this will make a wonderful gift, but also could be used to decorate your house for Christmas.It comes with a two-story bakery with a large display window which lights up when you push it. There are 7 and a half (yes, a half - the one skater is hidden in the snow, so only his legs are visible) figures and absolutely loads of quirky things, such as camera, baguettes, apple etc.Depending on how you arrange your Winter Village, the completed model measures from about 40 cm in width, 30 cm deep and 18 cm high (16 x 12 x 7 inches)!This set is now retired from the official Lego website, so I urge you to get it here while there are still some in stock.
