When I first unpacked the grains and put them in a double strength solution as per the included instructions they were a bit slow to start, but once acclimatised to their new "home" they began to ferment well. The grains have been super-active since I went away and left them in the fridge for a couple of weeks, followed by returning them to their fermenting jar - I've been feeding them with local honey or organic sugar, and using filtered tap water.
