This appears to be packed, branded & exported by a S. Korean company, using peppers grown in China. After digging for info on similar products for sale both online and in Asian grocery stores in the US, this is a apparently a common practice.

**Q: Is this the authentic red pepper powder to use to make kimchi or is this a substitute.**
A: This is an authentic red chili pepper flake powder product to make kimchi; please keep in mind this isn't the ONLY ingredient to make kimchi!

**Q: I need 1 & 1 half cups for my kimchi, will there be enough in this package?**
A: Absolutely!

**Q: Use coarse or fine for kimchi?**
A: Ideally both would be used as ingredients. If you had to choose one, coarse would be the choice as it gives the flakey texture you normally see on kimchi.
