I have a 7 year old, 11 pound chihuahua who had always cried and whimpered incessantly from the backseat where he was being seat belted in, making ANY AND ALL trips miserable for all of us - 20 minutes or 2 hours. We got this and installed it on out Jeep console armrest as the instructions state (fantastic safety with this seat y’all - great job!), and he was so happy he was able to be right beside us - close enough to give us a quick kiss whenever he wanted ❤️ I couldn’t be happier with this!! Review: Dog loves his perch, we modified it!! - Super secure and safe. Sides and back a bit tall for our pup, but with zipper sides we just took out hard plastic sheets and put in foam back and sides!! Made them much shorter cuz our pup likes to put his head on sides of beds. Now it’s perfect. The plastic zipper broke before we even got the seat installed in the car. I would have hoped that for the amount of money I paid, it would be sturdier than this.
