I like this length for jogging. The first day I wore them I stopped and talked to a neighbor who commented on the 'cute skirt'. Then later that afternoon another neighbor mentioned she saw me jogging "in those adorable shorts". The color is a tad darker and slightly more towards blue green the than royal blue "dark blue' in the picture. But I still like the color. The under shorts have a pocket on each thigh for my phone and the shorts did not ride up while jogging. I'm going to get another pair, but given that I got the first pair in late August, not surprised that some of my preferred colors are sold out in my size. Yet they have plenty of colors so I should find a color I like. They are actually not "pleated" more of a two layered ruffle look. Very feminine and flouncy. Fun to wear. Done with lulu... by the way. Save your $ and protect your ego from inflation. My experience anyway.
