I've been using Victorinox Forschner for a few years now, and they've been great. They are durable, and an occasional pass on a honing steel gets them right back to cutting shape. I have zero doubts that this knife will function just as well as my other Victorinox Forschner knives.However...Be forewarned that in the case of this knife, you are getting the 8" version (big), with a semi-flexible blade. Some people may like the slight flex, but others may not... and since it isn't mentioned in the description, I figured I should bring peoples' attention to it.
