I place this on a lava stone deflector plate while smoking meat, I wrap both the lava stone and this stainless pan in Aluminium foil, it is perfect for a long smoke, has never leaked and is sturdy enough not to warp as all my other pans have, plus anything that gets through the Aluminum foil is very easy to clean off.
