Review: It did the job - I used this on a wall between condos. The owner could hear his neighbor snoring. I installed resilient channel, then a layer of sound board, then 1/2" drywall. That wasn't enough so I added a layer of the MLV and 5/8" quiet rock drywall. That worked! It might have been overkill but the owner can sleep in total silence now.
Review: Great soundproofing material but really expensive - We put this between our bathroom and master bedroom during a big remodel, and you can’t hear anything now through the walls. Worked even better than I expected, but it is a huge pain to install because it is extremely heavy. It took two guys and lot of effort to try and get the pieces lined up and tacked down. We didn’t use any of the goofy soundproofing adhesive in tubes and in glad we didn’t waste the money. The only thing I wish is that it was quite so expensive

**Q: Can I put this up horizontally? Or does it have to be vertical?**
A: It will work installed horizontally however the heavy weight would be difficult to install overhead as an example but it will keep the sound down just the same. Hope that helps.

**Q: Could I lay this on my apartment floor, then put weightlifting equipment on it so my downstairs neighbors can't hear me lifting weights?  Thanks**
A: You would still hear impact noise (footfalls, weights hitting the floor) but it would help with any airborne noise.

**Q: Can it be used outdoor to cover a fence?**
A: Although it is not UV rated, it can be used for this purpose.

A: for the 60sf roll you can cover about 7-8ft wide wall.

Worked even better than I expected, but it is a huge pain to install because it is extremely heavy. It took two guys and lot of effort to try and get the pieces lined up and tacked down. I used this product for soundproofing a wall. It certainly reduced the volume and I would use it again. The product arrived damaged but I didn't want to ship back a 120 pound item. Because of the heavy weight, I recommend having two people carry this into a room. I plan to purchase this product again in the future for my soundproofing needs.
