Review: Extremely heavy duty and well made - I don't leave that many reviews and normally buy branded kit like Manfrotto or Rode so i have high expectations - buy once, cry once and all that. Having said that, I felt compelled on this occasion due to the shock I have just had when opening this and setting it up - oh my word, talk about "heavy duty"! This was purchased to hold my boom pole and shotgun mic whilst interviewing talent for documentary film work (I also bought the Neewer boom pole clamp for the top of it) and it has blown me away with just how sturdy and well put together it is. I would recommend this very highly for holding lighting and sound gear and, with a sandbag on the highest leg, it's not going anywhere. It comes in essentially three parts, the leg section (which just unfolds and snaps into place), the upright pole and then then the boom arm with two adjustable grip heads. The cushioning is excellent (being a combination of spring and air) so no crashing gear and no nipped finger tips and all of the fixtures feel pretty bomb proof. Very happy indeed! The only negative is it weighs an awful lot so don't expect to be carrying it too far - but it is exactly this that makes it so solid. You can't have it both ways. Review: Nice - Almost 1 year using this C stand, and the quality and performance still the same.
