It doesn't stay it place, even sitting to watch TV. I pull it down to cover my ears (which do not protrude), and it keeps riding up. When I do lie down, it has a mind of its own while I sleep...IN ONE POSITION. In the morning, after a mere 5 hours, it is at the top of my head, about to fall off, or it has already fallen off. Unbeknownst to me, each night my hair was getting slowly bleached, so when I finally noticed, I realized I needed to buy some sort of sleeping cap for my hair. Satin ones tend to be too big and slide right off my head. My hair is also really fine and smooth, so that doesn't help matters either. This fits pretty well and works for protecting my hair, but I find that after a few wearings, it stretches so much it gets too big for my head, so I have to re-wash/re-dry it to shrink it again. It does the job of keeping my head from getting chilled.Right away, I noticed that it fits slightly roomy -- and I wear a big hat (7 5/8).While I may have worn this beanie more than most would in the first week I've had it (the product description does say "perfect for indoors"), it has unfortunately lost most of it's elasticity around the band. A loose band now plus the original loose fit and it's become a very sloppy fit overall. I have to fold up the rim to keep it from sliding down which serves to further stretch the band even more.I question how long this hat will remain serviceable. At this rate, it will only be a month or two before it's useless.This beanie is too expensive to be so short-lived. I don't mind the thin material so much as it's inability to remain elastic. Time to try something else.EDIT: I felt as though I needed to update this review. Within just a few weeks of purchase, this beanie has lost almost all of it's elasticity. It has a very loose and sloppy fit now. It slides down over my eyes during the day and does not stay on my head at night. I was happy with the fit when it was new, but the newness does not last long at all. I will not be buying another and, based on the price, am down-grading this to one star.
