Ok, all these toys most likely comes out of the same factory in China, so gravitate to the lowest cost. But this item is awesome, worked perfectly out of the box for me and was just the right volume. not too loud, but not to soft either. So, now when I have those annoying friends who come over and wants to talk about politics or some other nonsense, I just turn it on and and sit it in front of them and walk away lol. After all, they are happiest when they are in their own echo chamber. Also, I have this annoying dog who my neighbor puts out on his backyard porch and barks all day, I place the toy on the window sill and it barks back at him. Then after 5 minutes, the dog gets bored and shuts up. I'm finding so many uses for this toy which I bought because I thought it was cute. And for ten bucks, how can you go wrong? :D

I wasn’t expecting much, but my dog (Shih Tzu) is crazy for it. The first exposure resulted in him circling and eyeing it while I had it make sounds. The second time he got the hang of it and they barked and growled for at least half an hour. He’s very active with it, but he isn’t able to tear off the short ears, so I hope it’ll keep him busy for a while. Our cat recently “graduated” and he hasn’t looked for her since getting this toy. It’s been a good choice for lots of reasons. I’m getting another for my niece’s dog.I use rechargeable AAA batteries and they work fine.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I think the product is defected. It works for a little bit, then it start bouncing non stop. I will show it in the video. I have to turn it off and turn it back on again, then it will only works for a few minutes. Anyone else have the same problem?

Very funny and cute. After about a week, it seems perhaps less sensitive to sound than at first, though I'm not totally certain. Fresh, good, batteries did not remedy this. The hamster is still working reasonably well though. This design is also a little cuter than some of the copies I've seen. It's really a very funny and entertaining toy. Bonus if you have more than one and they begin to talk to each other. Ha, ha, ha... But honestly one is enough, really.

I didnt like it at all. Totally useless toy.It pretty much came to me broken. It worked 10 minutes and then permanently broke down. I tried to contact the owner. The owner never contacted me back.No rating is the best rating for this toy.I give this toy: 0 Stars.

My item had clearly been used and returned because it didn’t work. It apparently didn’t work for the first buyer, and it still didn’t work for me. Come on, don’t ship out used, defective products...it’s just a waste of everyone’s time.

We opened this toy yesterday for my son’s birthday, added brand new “Amazon” batteries and today it stopped working. It is not the batteries, it is the toy that is defective.I saw a lot of reviews saying the same but wanted to give it a try. Definitely do not purchase this item!
