However, it is very difficult to properly align the lens on the camera, it was a lot more complicated and took a lot longer than we had expected. And it seemed no matter how hard we tried there was always a black rim visible around the photo. Also, because you are magnifying the image, it is extremely sensitive to any unsteadiness you may have while holding the phone. You almost have to use the tripod which is somewhat flimsy and very light. The phone with the attached lens is quite heavy and almost too much for this flimsy stand. We tried taking photos both during the day and at night and the ones taken during the day came out much better. Our iPhones 7s were having trouble focusing in on the moon at night, and the photos really just came out as a very bright white circle. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It’s ok *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2021* It’s hard to stay on my phone ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works surprisingly well. *by T***Y on Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2018* Once you get the hang of how to clip it on the phone, it can take amazing shots from long range. Really exceeded my expectations especially since it was around $20. Just take the time to figure out the sweet spot for your camera and lens to line up and it’s amazing. Tripod mount is recomended because at long range it’s hard to keep the phone steady since the image is very sensitive to movement. The attached photos I did from my bedroom window which actually has a screen. I didn’t use a tripod and snapped a lovely shot of the distant mountains using no iPhone zoom, with iPhone zoom, and then with the lens and no zoom. I’m several miles away from the mountain so hopefully that gives you an idea of what it can do.
