I have lost weight so I desperately needed a belt to hold up my jeans. The one thing that I don't like is that the buckle is thick, so when your sweater goes down over it, there is a bulge there. I bought it hoping to flatten that (before it I was using the belt of my husband's housecoat, tying a knot which also left a strange bulge), but I can live with that now that I don't have to hold them up so they don't literally fall down.
