I had to toss them out for that very reason. The whole thing is made of a thick nylon blend which does not breathe very well. I got the ones with hearts, black and white streaked ones, turquoise, coral, and I think pink/purple. The colors are bright and beautiful! I thought I wouldn't care for the heart ones but they are adorable.Update: now that I've had them a while.... They are still the best. They don't ride up nor do they fall down. They wash well while maintaining comfort, elasticity, and shape. They do not feel any different from the time you put them in until you take them off.
