Put two beds together, but, do not tighten the bolts and do not put the top bolts on one set, nor the bottom bolts on the other set. Then, please the one with bottom bolts missing on top of the other one and you can force the holes to line up and put the bolts in both sets, putting them together. We had to enlarge a few of the holes, but most we were able to just force the bolts in. It got easier to do with each set we did. I hope this helps. These are really nice!
