Keeps our bedroom cool. Works great so far, have only had it for about a week.

This AC has been a lifesaver!! We have a vacation home near Mount San Jacinto, in the California desert. Summer temps reach consistent 100F+ temps during the day and 90F+ temps at night. The home does not have central air so we’re dependent on these portable, or window, units.This AC was very easy to install (not my first rodeo). All of the parts were included and I had the window plate pieces together, the seal in place, and the plate and hose connected within 10 minutes. Next, connect the hose to the main unit and plug it in. Oooooh the sweet, sweet feel of ice cold air in a 150sf room with an ambient temp of 96F, felt like a dream come true.The noise level is comparable to exert other portable AC unit we own, and after a couple of days/nights it just becomes white noise—especially since we’re finally able to sleep comfortably with the blankets ON!The controls are straightforward and easy enough for our elderly guests to operate without any instruction from us, this includes the remote.The electricity draw is rather high for a 12kBTU unit, as we saw a significantly higher uptick in kWh after installing this cold maker. However, it’s certainly worth the cost having a cold room during scorching hot summers.Last, i like the small footprint since it’s being used in a small bedroom. It fits nicely between a wall (below the high window), the bed, and a dresser.

The actual vent under the Louver is on the left, and it’s 2/3 the size of the Louvre.The ManualVery good large Manual. One of the best I’ve ever seen. The print is large and dark.The RemoteThis Remote is small but very well made, and very reliable. The display on it shows the target temperature only. I wish it showed the room temperature too. It uses two AAA Batteries. It’s easy to change from F to C. And it’s easy to change from Cold to Fan only or Dry, etc…The DisplayOn the one I got, the actual room temp only showed when I turned it off.The FilterIt’s so easy to pull out the filter to vacuum it off or wash it off, it’s amazing. Takes one second to pull it out and one second to put it back in.The WheelsThis one comes with the wheels already installed on it. I got one two years ago that you had to install the wheels and one was missing.Window AccessoriesI have seen better. In fact, I have better. This only came with TWO of the Window Seal Boards. You will need FOUR for a large window. The hose and attachment ring seem cheaply made.The Exhaust Duct Hose WidthThe inside Diameter is 5 1/8"The outside Diameter is 5 7/8"Power CordThis Power Cord is about 6 feet long and very thick (which it needs to be). It has a circuit breaker on the plug (which is a good thing). If it needs an extension cord, ONLY use a THICK one, and feel both plugs often to make sure they are NOT HOT!RECOMMENDATIONI highly recommend putting a 20 Amp Outlet in where this will be plugged in, if you’ve done that before*. You don’t have to, but I had an old Portable Air Conditioner plugged into an outlet in the bathroom a couple of years ago to keep the bedroom cool, and that outlet is a bit scorched.* I change outlets all the time. You just need to turn off the circuit breaker for that outlet and install it correctly. Helpful Hint: Plug the Vacuum Cleaner into the outlet you need to turn off. You will probably be able to hear it all the way from the circuit breakers. If not that, a loud radio.

Could not make it work without the loud Motorcycle noise. This is too costly to only have the Fan work without noise.

In my living room. I used this on really hot days and it helped my very aging central air unit out. It's a bit loud on high, for a living room but it's not terrible. It was very easy to use, the window kit worked great. No real issues. Make sure to get an insulation kit for around your pipe to help cut down on the heat coming through it back into your room.

When I ordered this AC unit, I didn't actually need it, but I'm all too familiar with how unpleasant it can get in the middle of summer without any AC. This summer seemed to push more AC units over the breaking point than last year because I've now loaned this out to 4 separate families who said it was a Godsend while they were waiting for a repair. So this unit has been a champ and worked during the hottest, most humid part of the summer and didn't have any issues.

It cooled the front part of my home. I ordered this as a replacement for an older air conditioner. It blows cold air! I'm glad I got this! It is a bit noisy but it wasn't terrible!
