Ryda Bikes Tahoe - 24" Green Youth Unisex Bike - 8 Speed All Purpose Bicycle for Kids and Teens with Flat Proof Bike Tires

I am so frustrated with this company. We are a family that usually goes the Target or Walmart route for kid's bikes. We decided to upgrade a bit as our son is turning 10. I splurged on the Tahoe because of the "flat proof" wheels and because after watching the assembly video it looked very easy to put together. Unfortunately, neither the video on their website nor the instructions in the box are for this bike. The bike in both the video and instructions does not have hand brakes, therefore one can easily slip the front wheel onto the axle. That is not the case when there are front brakes. Also, the box says all tools are included. They’re not. The pedals on this bike require a larger wrench than was included. I have many wrenches so that wasn’t a problem but it’s further evidence that the directions and the packaging for this bike are incorrect/incomplete. I am a VERY handy person. I follow instructions VERY well but I do not know a lot about bikes. I didn't want to take a chance on wrecking it so I decided to call the company to ask for help. No one answered on a weekday in the middle of the afternoon so I left a voicemail explaining that I needed help with assembling the bike FOR MY SON'S BIRTHDAY. It's 4 days later and they never called back. I read another reviewer who said these bikes were "easy" to assemble. I mean, I'm sure if you already KNOW how to assemble a bike, then this would be easy. With NO directions, I started Googling. I finally found a decent explanation of how to attach the front tire and did so. Adjusting the brakes was another challenge that I had to look up online. The handlebars are very low and do not appear to be adjustable. (I've tried) The seat is very hard and uncomfortable. Also, just as an FYI, the color is really more of a minty green. I know computer monitors can make things look different and it's hard to get a good photo of something that has some iridescence, but I was expecting more of a bright lime green. Because I ordered it online, I cannot easily or inexpensively return it. My son tried it out and it was too small for him. After riding it for a few minutes he came to me and said, "I'm really sorry mom, but I hate my new bike." I don't blame him. Now I've paid double what I normally would have and disappointed my kid. But hey, I'm sure he'll turn 10 again some other time. Oh wait.

Great bike which my daughter loves. However, the no-flat tires make riding over any bumpy terrain very uncomfortable. I would recommend the bike with regular tires with air filled tubes. If you ride on perfectly smooth terrain then the tires would be fine.

Light weight. Easy to assemble. Gears, shifter and breaks work perfectly.

My son rides this a lot, got the right size for him and have had zero issues. I have to fill his sisters tires all the time, and his never needs it since they are airless tires. Never had a chain slip off, never had issues with the shifters or derailers. it seems like its going to last long enough to hand it down to his siblings. and then I'll get him the next size up.

This is an incredible bike. Solid built, great quality, good looking and has tires we will never have to change! My son has rode it everyday this sumer, no flats and not a single issue. So happy with this purchase.
