Surely wish someone at the company would reply to my inquiry on the food-safe issue though. If they aren't food-safe, then I might not be wanting to use them for face cream or other beauty products either. They really should address that issue, especially since they are manufactured overseas, where lead or other toxics sometimes finds its way into products.By the way, I can only describe the material as "plastic" and there is no indication on the package regarding material content.
