The vacuum does a great job on both surfaces and automatically slows down for hard surfaces, works as advertised! Theres enough suction even with the vent in the handle open on the hard floor that you can see dust and dirt moving towards the vacuum from the sides and corners of the wall. It turns really easily and almost on a dim, its not too heavy either which is nice and you can detach the vacuum head to lighten it even more.
