I had an old Ubiquiti Wifi Access point - passive 24 volts and needed a converter. Found this and it arrived the next day. Two RJ sockets either end of the device. Simply plugged the 802.3af switch into one side, and the access point into the other. Sockets were nice and tight so the plugs don't move around. And up it came, switch recognised the adaptor and the access point powered up. The device is small too and generates next to no heat. A life saver.
