**Q: Is this thermometer ok out in the rain or only for greenhouse use, thanks**
A: Left it outside overnight in the rain. Mistake (water got in behind cover) now everything blurred by condensation.

**Q: Is there a guarantee on this product?**
A: I'm not sure, but I don't recommend this product. The reset button stopped working after only one year and then the display started to fail, too. I wouldn't buy it again.

**Q: Doesn't work. Given as a gift so can't do much about it?**
A: Mine works perfectly, wherever I place it.
Is the battery OK?  Is it the correct way round (polarity)?
If these are OK then when did you receive it and how old was it when you were given it?
If within guarantee period or "fit for purpose" then get you friend to return it.  Otherwise "hoy it".

**Q: Is there a battery low indicator**
A: There is no battery level indicator, the batteries appear to last well beyond 12 months and when they are empty it is obvious on the display

Needed a second thermometer for a cold frame. Seems to work, but doesn't show the same temperature when tested next to the one (different product) that I've had for over a year. Maybe the one I've had for over a year is the one that's not accurate though..... who knows?
