As a die hard advanced logic puzzle solver, these were simply too easy. Its only saving grace is that it's a standard beginner's book. Don't bother if you are even somewhat familiar with any of the lesser known Japanese puzzles and are looking for a challenge.Besides most puzzles barely increasing in difficulty, the paper stock is cheap. Erasing even once compromises the paper and makes it prone to tearing.There was at least one puzzle, a Kakuro, that had two solutions without a doubt as I compared both solutions multiple times to be certain.The sheer size of this collection just doesn't make it worthwhile. I should have recycled it sooner. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not bad, but a little bit easy... *by E***N on March 12, 2009* This book has a number of interesting puzzles that I hadn't seen before: Masyu & Nurikabe are pretty interesting; Hitori is just silly and barely requires logic at all. Any of the Hitori puzzles can be solved in about 2 minutes... but the book is good for its variety. The biggest complaint I have is with the difficulty - there are very few puzzles that take longer than about 10 minutes. Most are a lot shorter. I prefer puzzles that are a little bit more challenging, but overall it's a good sampler. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it. *by K***K on January 12, 2014* Love Sudoku. Then found that I love Hidato.
