She uses it as a nightlight, which I can understand because there are many different light combinations of pretty pastel colors that slowly transition from one to the next. The problem lies in the fact that the plastic is very thin and the circuitry is shoddy. In fact, I thought the item was dead upon arrival because it didn't turn on after inserting the batteries. Fortunately a gentle squeeze around the front and back of the unit did help the connection, and it then lit up. I had to do this a second time when I gave her the light. It really is a mesmerizing light to watch. I just wish the company invested a few more cents in the quality of the build.
