I'm 6' tall and the XL size was comfortable. I've never had a tube with a mesh bottom and I was a big fan - it's the best of both worlds. The plastic this is made from seems very sturdy and I have no worries that this will last a while. My only tiny complaint is that the rope they give you to wrap around the tube and attach to something else are kind of a joke. It should be longer and made from something more sturdy.. soft, white rope isn't ideal for rivers.
