It was easy to set up. The pump is very quiet, I can't even hear it. If you raise it above the water level the water sounds can be loud but I keep it low.. The LED lights in mine are in a few colors like multiple changing, blue, red, yellow, green and clear. I prefer clear, though. It has plenty of room to add things like artificial plants and a feature like the Betta Castle. Mine has been set up for about a week. I used water conditioners and fin conditions and let it settle over night before adding the Betta. He is very comfortable. I just introduced three little Mystery Snails, one purple, one yellow and one jade, to keep him company and give him something to watch. All in all, it's a great little tank. I ordered the gravel from desertcart for a great price, too. Update: I've had mine for about 7 weeks, now. It's still very quiet, all of the lights work, my Betta is still very content.
