If you use the 36V Bosch system on other tools I would recommend getting the version with the battery and charger. I didn't because I already have 2 charger, however, it is worth it for the battery (which would cost more as a separate purchase) and whish I had have done. I'm totally converted to electric garden tools now, strimmer, lawnmower, hedge cutter.
