Install took about 45mins, but that wasn't the fault of the product - I had a tough time getting the original rusty exhaust pipe clamps loose, but I took my time as to not break them. Lots of PB Blaster was used with great success! These mufflers are some of the most beautiful products I've ever seen from an aftermarket company... leave it to the Japanese to make a very functional yet quality design. The welds are amazing!Upon initial startup I noticed the sound was immediately more pronounced with a deeper tone. It's essentially similar to the stock exhaust, but with a deeper and richer quality to it. If you asked me one word about the improvement, it would be 'deeper'. Idle is basically silent, but when you are in gear with load on the motor it really livens up, especially above 4,000rpm. I'm very pleased with the purchase and would highly recommend the axle-back from Tanabe to any Infiniti G lovers. There is no additional drone on the highway when the car is in top gear, which is something I wanted in my daily driver. Other catback systems create a lot of additional cabin drone which kill the experience.I've heard a 500+ mile break-in of the exhaust will help to make it a touch louder, which would be welcomed since these aren't in your face loud. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Three Stars *by M***B on Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2016* I didn't notice any HP gains. The sound is only noticeable on high Rpms. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars An Improvement, but expected more *by B***D on Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2013* Very easy install, excellent quality, and great price for these on Amazon!However, I hate modified cars, they 9/10 look awful and I thought I had ruined my car after installing these. I ended up removing them immediately and spray painting the mufflers matte black with high temperature paint to to make them look stock (picture posted). Now the only part that is chrome are the tips and it looks more like they belong on the car - I just wish the tips looked a little less obnoxious.Secondly, I was very disappointed by the sound - after hearing the exhaust note from a G37 coupe I really wanted my sedan to sound the same. These mufflers are slightly louder, but they don't have the awesome rasp or burble of the coupe.
