Baracke Tahini is a sesame paste made out of only the finest Ethiopian sesame seeds which are known for their great quality and taste. Tahini is commonly mixed with lemon juice, salt and garlic, and thinned with water, to be used as a side dish or garnish. Tahini is also used as a primary component of Hummus which is made of cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. I love this tahini! Just ground sesame seeds and salt (doesn't taste salty), kosher and pareve (no meat or dairy ingredients, suitable for vegans) and it is made in Israel. You do need to stir it because it has oil that separates. Some people add water or lemon juice to use it for dressing, but I just stir it and add a spoonful to nuts or cold cereal (great with shredded wheat). Comes in a 2-pack, so it lasts for a while. Store in the fridge after opening.
