Does not work very well on threaded dumbbells. It slips with only 10 lb plates on each side. The diameter of my dumbbells does fall within the range in the description. A friend brought his smooth bar dumbbell/ barbell to try it out and it seems to works flawlessly on those and doesn't even budge when the max amount of weight is on each smooth bar dumbbell/ barbell. My guess is that the rubber inside these collars has a better grip on smooth bars then on the threaded ones. ### ⭐ Save yourself time and the trouble of a return. I have several different types of one inch bars dumbbell bars and Ivanko bars. I have some one inch lock jaw collars that hold tight to the bars.
