I was planning to use them under my wedding dress since it gets so hot in there!** A: Yes and no. Best suggestion would be 2 pairs of underwear. One against your body and one holding the pack over that pair. It makes everything breathable and holds everything in place for walking. We agree that checking with your doctor or midwife before applying anything is the best option. You put them right into the pad/mesh undies after delivery (with all that grossness still coming out)?** A: Yup, I used them pre and post delivery. Getting "grossness" on an ice pack is an afterthought. This is far more comfortable than a diaper with ice in it which is what the hospital will give you. The covers are machine washable and the icepacks stay soft and don't freeze hard. They're awesome. **Q: How do you used this item?** A: The short answer is: any way you want!! They work like most cold / hot compresses, just better :) ... Many people use Pariday TendHer Perineal Packs straight from the freezer after vaginal delivery / hemorrhoid surgery / vasectomy / on C-section incision etc. Others use them warm and moistened to help promote stretching of the perineum during labor. So worth it. *by C***Y on December 14, 2017* Forget just using the for afterbirth birth stitches and care, these are actually the best for hemorrhoids whether you are a guy or a girl and according to my husband they also make great ice packs when you get a vasectomy. If that's not one great multi-use product I don't know what is. Granted these are not typically the things people like to discuss but it gets just the right level of cool without being too cold like many ice packs wood in your groin area. The covers wash really well, and actually hold up very nicely in the washing machine and dryer. The red color doesn't fade and didn't bleed when I washed it with other things.
