That enters brightness mode. Once in brightness mode use the third button from the bottom to increase brightness, and the second button to decrease brightness. The panel is sharp and works with mac, windows and linux. Both usb and HDMI work well too. One has to be careful with the usb as not all usb-c ports work. On my mac-mini, only the rear usb-c work as they're thunderbolt capable. The fronts are not. On my PC, only one of the usb-c ports work as it's the only thunderbolt capable port. My unit shipped with a bad usb cable (out of two) and customer service was quick to credit the cost of a new one. Couldn't be happier. The only other nit is that custom settings, like brightness, are not saved between power cycles.
