The picture is my first attempt and I'm pretty impressed. I'm a perfectionist and anything less and I would not have been happy. My biggest advice would be on the method used to create the french manicure- after applying the base, dip into tray with white powder VERY slowly and remove just as slowly. Tap very lightly once or twice while the nail is angled downward. Any more and the product appeared to bunch up. To apply the pink, I held my nail over the pink powder and used a scoop to sprinkle it on the nail, lightly tapping off excess. If I dipped my nail directly into the pink powder it gave the white tip a pink tint that I did not like.The box was a little beat up but the item inside was fine. It does not have a slip resistant bottom. I just put it on top of a hand towel and I never had any issues. This is a great helper to not only get those crisp white french manicure lines but it is a handy holding well for the powder to not get all over the counter. You can use it with white powder, clear or colored.
