More like 1/2 and inch to an inch. **Q: What adhesive should I use to install this?** A: It is an item that has a slide over edge or press in place application , you can use an adhesive on it but it already has it on it , so no adhesive application is needed **Q: Many reviews say that not enough glue is included. What other glue should I get to supplement this strip to keep it on?** A: I didn’t get any glue at all. Flimsy piece of product. Ended up throwing it away because I had already cut it. It seems a little loose for my 3/16 thick glass however it does stick well. The silicone is very stretchy. If you add a little water under it, it stays on the quality is good. It fills the gap and helps with water resistance. The appearance is clear and it seals my shot shower well. Good riddance to my old yellowed seals.
