I first bought one with one of those weird buckles, which was sturdy enough but the buckle made it very difficult to adjust as needed. Then i bought another expensive one ($33+) that seemed OK but was so thin and could not described as sturdy. This belt is thick, stiff and easily adjustable. I put it on the first time, cinched it tight, and then could not figure out how to open it. Had to slip off my pants, but of course it was easy once i saw it. Putting the belt on is easy because the belt is so sturdy. When i use leather belts they quickly fall apart as I am rough on belts.
